Bayern round-up: Urbig earns surprise Germany call-up; Aseko buy-back

Julian Nagelsmann has included Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig in his Germany squad for the upcoming internationals, with the 22-year-old set to make his senior debut. Urbig hinted at the call-up after the Champions League match, saying he had been told something but had not yet checked his phone.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl praised the youngster’s recent performances, and Urbig is expected to serve as third-choice behind Oliver Baumann and Alexander Nübel, with Finn Dahmen on standby; he has made 13 appearances this season and played 22 youth internationals from U17 to U21.
