Layer Cake, released September 30, 2004, stars Daniel Craig as an unnamed, suave criminal navigating London’s underbelly. The 105-minute film was directed by Matthew Vaughn and also features Colm Meaney and Sienna Miller. The plot follows a successful cocaine dealer who gets two tough assignments from his boss on the eve of a planned early retirement.

The film earned positive reviews — holding an 81% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes — and grossed around $12 million worldwide against a reported $6 million budget. Craig’s central performance was said to be one of the key reasons he was hired as James Bond, debuting in Casino Royale a couple of years later.

You can watch Layer Cake on Pluto TV for free. A Guy Ritchie-directed spiritual sequel, Viva La Madness, reunites Ritchie with Jason Statham and will likely be released next year.
