Bendegúz Kovács, born 31 March 2007 in Fehérgyarmat, Hungary, is a left-footed centre-forward standing around 1.99 metres. Combining strength, aerial dominance and a keen eye for goal, he fits the profile of a modern centre-forward and has drawn attention from Juventus scouts.

He began his career in Hungary before spending time in Ajax’s youth system and moving to AZ Alkmaar to continue his development. At AZ he scored 14 goals in 14 Dutch U19 matches and has started to feature for Jong AZ in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, where he has five goals in seven appearances.

Kovács has also impressed on the European youth stage, netting nine goals in six UEFA Youth League games. Across the Dutch second division, the Dutch U19 league, the Dutch U19 Cup and the Youth League this season he has 29 goals in 31 matches, and he is already a regular for Hungary’s under-19 team.
