Manga sales outside Japan have been rising, with collector-focused hardcovers and prestige reprints helping long-running series find second lives. Publishers are leaning into premium formats to keep legacy titles in steady circulation for new readers, a strategy that has proven effective for darker sagas.

The late Kentaro Miura’s Berserk has now sold over 10 million English copies. Dark Horse Comics marked the occasion by announcing that Berserk volume 43 will officially release on October 27. The publisher also said Volumes 42 and 43 will not receive standalone Deluxe editions, while the eventual release of Volume 44 will allow for a Deluxe Volume 15; no release window was shared for that next hardcover collection.

Volume 43 is available for pre-order and continues Miura’s vision under the supervision of his close friend Kouji Mori, with Duane Johnson serving as translator. The official synopsis teases rising political tensions within the Kushan Empire as it prepares for war against Griffith and Falconia.
