Best Buy is offering discounts on Sony's Bravia 8 II OLED, with the 65-inch model reduced by $1,100 and the 55-inch model by $1,000, amid recent news that Sony will hand control of the Bravia brand to TCL in 2026 and new models are due in 2027.

ZDNET's Adam Breeden tested the Bravia 8 II in the outlet's lab and said he was very impressed with the picture quality. He noted the TV produces a darker screen than some LG and Samsung OLEDs but allows extensive picture fine-tuning for streaming and console gaming.

The set also includes Sony's Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology with tiny actuators behind the OLED panel and Dolby Atmos integration, which ZDNET said delivers immersive sound and near‑perfect audio–video syncing. The TV supports VRR for console gaming and automatically switches picture and audio modes when it detects a connected console or a supported streaming app.

ZDNET said the Bravia 8 II ships with Google TV and preloaded apps such as Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max, plus integrated voice controls via Google Assistant or Alexa. The outlet gave the Best Buy deal a 4/5 Editor's rating and cautioned that deals can sell out or expire, while also noting that both discounted sizes still sell for over $1,000.
