Best things I buy at Dollar Tree after shopping there for 20 years
I’ve been shopping at Dollar Tree for about 20 years and stick to the basics. The chain has raised prices to as much as $1.50 and added higher-priced premium items, which I rarely browse. I focus on low-cost essentials that still deliver value. I buy period products, gift wrap, and greeting cards exclusively.
The store carries name brands like Kotex and Poise and its own B Pure line, and most greeting cards are only 50 cents. I also get gift bags, wrapping paper, tissue, and boxes there. Household staples I pick up include cleaning supplies and laundry basics — I’ve found Dollar Tree versions, including an Oxiclean dupe and toilet cleaner, work well.
I also shop for hand soaps such as Spa Luxury foaming and Arm & Hammer, spices and seasonings, and sample-sized condiments like Melinda’s Pizza Hot Sauce. Other regular buys are batteries, adhesives like superglue and brush-on nail glue, storage bins for organizing, plastic cutlery, face masks and Orchid pimple patches, and boxed candies for movie nights.
