Social media sentiment around Bitcoin shifted back toward optimism after the price recovered above $70,000, with Santiment data showing positive discussions rising following a drop on Monday. The market intelligence platform said conversations across X, Reddit, Telegram and other crypto channels were encouraged by President Trump’s comments that the war may soon end and by oil prices reversing course.

Tensions in the Middle East had escalated after the US and Israel launched strikes against Iran and Iran retaliated, but Trump said the war "is very complete, pretty much," later adding on Truth Social that the US would ramp up military pressure if Iran tried to slow the supply of oil.

Ryan McMillin of Merkle Tree Capital said other factors are likely supporting the rebound, including Bitcoin’s resilience to geopolitical shocks, institutional momentum from companies such as Strategy — which bought nearly 18,000 Bitcoin last week and made a second purchase this week — and the coin holding above its February lows.
