Black Myth: Zhong Kui teaser shows devs 'cooking' in non-canon footage

Game Science released six minutes of in-engine footage showing a cinematic preparation of a feast for the Black Myth: Zhong Kui sequel. It arrived ahead of Chinese New Year and was shared in celebration of the Year of the Horse.

A disclaimer at the end states 'this content is non-canon and unrelated to the main storyline,' so the clip reads more as a demonstration of the action RPG's engine and cutscene potential than a plot hint. Fans nevertheless reacted enthusiastically — one popular comment said 'Ah I see. Basically they are saying they are cooking,' while others wrote, 'Let them cook and they did!'

There is still no release window for Black Myth: Zhong Kui; at Gamescom it was noted that even the director has 'absolutely no idea' when it will arrive, leaving the timeline unclear.
