Black Sails leaving Netflix on April 17, 2026

Netflix will remove all seasons of Black Sails for US subscribers on April 17, leaving roughly one month for viewers who have not completed the series.

The Starz adventure epic ran four seasons from 2014 to 2017, following fictionalized versions of several well-known historical pirates. It earned an 81% critic score and an 84% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and was anchored by performances from Toby Stephens (Captain Flint), Hannah New (Eleanor Guthrie), Luke Arnold (John Silver) and Jessica Parker Kennedy (Max).

Acquired shows are added and removed according to licensing agreements; while Netflix could extend the deal, Black Sails will otherwise only be available on Starz's streaming service or for purchase on digital stores like iTunes.

Stream all seasons of Black Sails on Netflix before the series leaves on April 17.
