Nasdaq data shows the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust (ETHB) traded 592,804 shares on its first day, turning over about $15.5 million. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart described the result as "very, very solid." The ETF invests and stakes Ether, locking up tokens on the blockchain to generate yield.

It relies on network validators to capture staking rewards—typically around 4% annually—and will distribute those rewards monthly, sourced from validators run by Figment, Galaxy Digital and Bitwise-owned Attestant. ETHB’s debut volume trailed similar Solana staking funds, including the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), which recorded $55.4 million on launch, and the REX-Osprey SOL + Staking ETF (SSK), which saw $33.7 million.

The fund launched with $106.7 million in net assets custodied by Coinbase and is backed by 80% staked Ether and 20% Ether. It charges a 0.25% sponsor fee with a one-year waiver that reduces the fee to 0.12% on the first $2.5 billion of assets.
