Blackview MP20 review: a compact Windows mini PC that's almost a Mac Mini
The Blackview MP20 is a palm-sized Windows 11 Pro mini PC that aims to occupy the same niche as the Mac Mini. It weighs 265 grams, measures just under 4 inches square and 1.4 inches thick, and is made of plastic rather than machined aluminum. The front offers two USB-A 3.2 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack and the power button; the rear includes two USB-A 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort (each able to drive 4K@60Hz), gigabit Ethernet, a Kensington lock and a DC input.
There are no USB-C ports, and a metal VESA plate is included for mounting behind a display. Inside sits a quad-core AMD Ryzen 3 3300U (2.1 GHz base, 3.5 GHz boost) with integrated Radeon Vega 6 graphics. The silicon dates from 2019 and won’t compete with high-end gaming or professional video-editing chips, but it handles web browsing, media playback and productivity work smoothly.
The unit ships with 16GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable to 32GB) and a 512GB M.2 drive (upgradable to 2TB), though there is only one RAM slot and one M.2 slot, so upgrades require swapping existing modules.
