Bloober Team announces Layers of Fear 3 alongside Silent Hill 1 remake

Bloober Team's countdown to Valentine's Day ended with the announcement of Layers of Fear 3, despite rose-themed teases that prompted speculation about a Rule of Rose revival. The studio's teaser site had a bleeding rose and an audio clip of William Blake's "The Sick Rose." The site now displays a logo for the first-person threequel and the line: "Some Things Never Leave The Walls.

They Only Learn To Wait." A live-action reveal trailer accompanies the announcement. Creative director Mateusz Lenart said the series explores the "thin line between inspiration and obsession," and that Layers of Fear 3 will place players "inside an artist's unravelling mind" to "invite empathy, rather than judgement." Bloober Team has seen strong reactions to its recent work, with the Silent Hill 2 remake and Cronos: The New Dawn receiving much praise, a marked improvement from earlier mixed results with Layers of Fear, The Medium and Blair Witch.
