Last year Games Workshop announced a new edition of Blood Bowl, the tabletop game of frenzied fantasy football. Cyanide Studio's digital adaptation, Blood Bowl 3, will be rebranded as Warhammer Blood Bowl rather than receiving a patch. The relaunch adds two teams—the undead Tomb Kings and knightly Bretonnians—bringing the total to 26 at launch, and Cyanide says "There will be no step back in terms of content or features." A new Rumble mode cuts teams to seven players on a narrower pitch for 30-minute matches, promising a faster, more focused way to play.

Rumble will be available ahead of launch as a free demo on Steam from March 18 to March 25, letting players choose one of five pre-designed rosters—Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Necromantic Horrors, Khorne, or the Old World Alliance—and try both PvP and PvE versions of Rumble play.
