Bluetti AC180 review: handled everything I threw at it
The Bluetti AC180 sits in the useful intermediate category of portable power stations — bulky but still transportable for camping, photo or drone trips. It’s currently listed on Amazon for $453.93 and offers a straightforward, functional design focused on delivering reliable power.
In testing the unit lived up to its spec sheet: 1,800W rated power (2,700W surge) and a 1,152Wh capacity, with LiFePO4 cells rated for 3,500+ recharge cycles. Bluetti’s 1,440W AC turbo charging and the option for up to 500W solar input mean the AC180 can top up quickly, and the included wireless charging pad and multiple output ports cover common needs.
I verified charging from AC, a vehicle 12V outlet and solar using a 120W Bluetti panel, which performed well even in weak spring UK sun and pushed the station close to its maximum solar input. Safety and heat management were solid, and the unit handled overload and durability tests — including transport and drops — without issues.
