Beincrypto reports the BNB Chain Foundation allocated $200,000 USDT to purchase Chinese meme tokens across two days, investing $50,000 in each of four tokens: 370,000 Binance Life (币安人生), 1.3 million Hajimi (哈基米), 4.83 million “Here I Come” (我踏马来了) and 4.7 million Laozi (老子). Binance Life reached a $153 million market cap after its Binance listing on January 7 and traded at $0.1519 on January 12, with 24‑hour volume of $66.1 million (about $47.9 million on Binance).

Horse‑themed tokens have seen rising activity ahead of the Chinese Year of the Horse: “Here I Come” recorded $20 million in trading volume and a $14 million market cap, and a trader reportedly turned $321 into $2.18 million in 11 days trading the 114514 memecoin, underscoring intense speculation in the sector.

Analysts cited in the report say institutional backing, new listings and cultural timing may boost Chinese memecoins through the first quarter, but sustainability is uncertain. As of January 12, 2026 the sector’s market cap was $252 million with $99 million in trading volume despite a 7.3% one‑day decline; the story notes BNB Chain metrics such as 34.7 million daily transactions in December 2025 and a $10.4 billion TVL, and recalls the foundation’s April 2025 shift to direct token purchases and public‑wallet transparency.
