Svilar (6.5) produced a late miracle, denying Bernardeschi before another strong stop on Pobega and surviving a risky rush from goal when the crossbar intervened. Celik (4.5) was practically invisible going forward, beaten too easily by Rowe for the opener and later gifting Rowe another chance; Hermoso (6) replaced him in the 66th and showed determination.

Ndicka (6.5) adapted quickly to Castro and was the clearest defensive bright spot, while Ghilardi (5.5) left Bernardeschi unmarked for the goal. Rensch (5.5) was careful at the back but erred often going forward, with Tsimikas (6) replacing him from the 57th and making few mistakes.

El Aynaoui (5) started amid Koné’s muscle fatigue, but he moved the ball slowly and lost many duels; Pellegrini (7) came on from the 66th, scored the equaliser and salvaged the result. Pisilli (5.5) was a step back and, along with Celik, was culpable for the 1-0; Wesley (5.5) began poorly and picked up an early yellow.
