Bravo pauses 'The Real Housewives of Miami' after ratings plummet
Bravo has placed "The Real Housewives of Miami" on pause "at this very moment and for the foreseeable future," a source confirmed. The cast — Alexia Nepola, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Guerdy Abraira, Larsa Pippen, Stephanie Shojaee and friends Kiki Barth, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton — were notified before the news was delivered.
The decision comes amid plummeting ratings; the series closed Season 7 with a bombshell three-part reunion in October 2025 and has long been among the least-watched of Bravo’s "Real Housewives" franchises. Filming for Season 8 had been expected to begin earlier this year but had not started, fueling speculation the show might be canceled.
Production faced casting issues and was reportedly considering recasting, with discussions about possibly removing Guerdy Abraira and Julia Lemigova. Newcomer Stephanie Shojaee was also said to be reluctant to return for a sophomore season.
