Bridgerton Season 4 finale ends with surprise post-credits wedding
Editor's note: The below contains spoilers for the Bridgerton Season 4 finale. After weeks of anticipation, Season 4 concluded with a surprise post-credits scene that delivered a major payoff for Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) and Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). The jam-packed finale also unveiled a new Lady Whistledown — still voiced by Julie Andrews — and saw Violet (Ruth Gemmell) break off her relationship with Marcus (Daniel Francis).
Once the credits roll, the episode cuts to My Cottage, where friends and family have gathered for an intimate wedding. Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) return, and despite his earlier objections to a nobleman marrying a maid, Anthony expresses gratitude that Benedict followed his heart and says their late father would be proud.
Sophie walks down the aisle with her friend Alfie (David Moorst) at her side, Benedict and Sophie become husband and wife, and the scene closes on Benedict's finished painting of Sophie as the Lady in Silver.
