Bridgerton Season 4 Returns to No.1 on Netflix, Overtakes Jon Bernthal's His and Hers

According to Collider, Bridgerton Season 4 reclaimed the top streaming spot on Netflix after its January 29 release, dethroning the crime thriller His & Hers, which had been No. 1 since its January 8 debut.

Bridgerton is the Shonda Rhimes-created series based on Julia Quinn’s books that follows the Bridgerton children as they enter high society. Each season centers on a different sibling and the quest to find love, with Queen Charlotte selecting a Diamond of the Season.

Season 4 follows Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) as he navigates feelings for Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). A central conflict this season is that Sophie is not of noble blood and is therefore considered “unsuitable” for Benedict.

His & Hers, by contrast, is a darker, more suspenseful series starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal. In that show Anna (Thompson) and Jack (Bernthal) are married but estranged, and a murder in their town forces them both onto the same investigation while they remain suspicious of everyone, including each other.

Collider noted that His & Hers had held the top streaming spot for several weeks following its early January release, but Bridgerton’s late-January arrival pushed the period drama back to No. 1 on Netflix.

What happens next may hinge on Bridgerton Season 4, Part 2, which Collider said is due in February — a release that could help the series maintain its lead on the streaming charts.
