Bridgerton showrunner says Eloise and Francesca will lead Seasons 5 and 6
Movieweb reports that Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed Eloise and Francesca will be the focus of Seasons 5 and 6.
At the Season 4 premiere in Paris, Brownell indicated both sisters would get seasons but would not disclose the order, saying, "I would say both characters with the initials on my pocket square will get seasons in five and six. In what order? I can't say." The article notes Francesca, now played by Hannah Dodd after Ruby Stokes, married Lord John Stirling and was introduced to his cousin Michaela Stirling, an element that deviates from Julia Quinn's books and could hint at an unexpected queer romance.
Season 4 itself centers on Benedict in a Cinderella‑inspired story, with Yerin Ha debuting as Sophie Baek, the maid dubbed the "Lady in Silver." The fourth season will be released in two parts, with Part 1 on Jan. 29 and Part 2 on Feb. 26. The series has already been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6, but Brownell declined to say which sister will appear first; the report says announcements for Seasons 7 and 8 would be logical given the eight‑book source series.
