Jason Alexander defended Britney Spears on Instagram after her DUI arrest, urging social media users to "slow down" and warning that "rumors spread faster than facts." Alexander, who was married to Spears for 55 hours in 2004, reposted the statement to his Story and asked followers to "let the facts come out." He pointed to reports that a blood draw showed a .06 blood-alcohol reading, below California’s .08 limit, and noted that if only legally prescribed medications were involved "that changes the narrative completely." Alexander suggested the conduct now being discussed could amount to minor misdemeanors such as reckless driving or simple possession.
