Brothers in Arms mod restores hundreds of Witcher 3 cut lines, adds Yennefer scene
Pcgamer reports that the Brothers in Arms mega-mod for The Witcher 3 has restored hundreds of cut voice lines and other missing content, including a newly restored Yennefer romance scene and additional choices for key quests.
The Witcher 3 already contains nearly half a million words of script and about 950 speaking roles, but many one-liners, dialogue choices and cutscenes remained in the game files. Brothers in Arms, first released in 2021 and regularly updated since, has reinstated a variety of these lines: examples include a Ciri conversation with the Wild Hunt, an extra exchange with Witcher Eskel when Geralt returns to Kaer Morhen, and expanded dialogue during the Bloody Baron quest that lets players more clearly state whether they intend to kill or cure the Botchling. Modder XLetalis also highlighted a restored Noonwraith cackle that likely explains why the line was removed during editing. The mod is available on NexusMods.
There is also ongoing speculation about an official expansion from CD Projekt, with IGN Poland claiming it heard about new DLC years ago and rumours currently swirling; given that The Witcher 4 won't be out before 2027, a stopgap expansion is presented as plausible, though nothing has been confirmed by the studio.
