Bruno Fernandes penalty and Sesko header lift Man Utd to third
Manchester United came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, a result that moves them into third place in the Premier League. The Red Devils were below their best for much of the afternoon but turned the game around in the second half after a Maxence Lacroix red card.
Palace took the lead after four minutes when Lacroix shrugged off Leny Yoro to head in from a corner, and Ismaila Sarr soon fired straight at Senne Lammens as Palace dominated early on. United produced no real chances until the final 10 minutes of the first half, with Benjamin Sesko and Casemiro wasting headed opportunities and Dean Henderson tipping a Bruno Fernandes free-kick over the bar.
The match swung 10 minutes after half-time when Lacroix pulled Matheus Cunha inside the area; VAR intervened to confirm the sending off and Fernandes converted the penalty.
