Bruno Fernandes becomes second-fastest Man Utd player to 200 goal involvements

Bruno Fernandes reached another milestone for Manchester United as he ran the game against Tottenham Hotspur in a 2-0 win at Old Trafford, taking his tally to 200 goal involvements for the club. Bryan Mbeumo had opened the scoring with a sweeping effort from the top of the box from a corner, before Fernandes doubled United’s advantage late on.

Fernandes fired home from a Diogo Dalot cross with just ten minutes to go to put the game beyond doubt after Spurs were reduced to ten men earlier following a red card for Cristian Romero. The goal was his sixth in the Premier League this season and his 18th direct involvement; his 12 assists in the division remain the highest tally.

The strike also took Fernandes to 200 goals or assists for Manchester United, making him the second-quickest player in the club’s history to reach that mark.
