Nicholas Brendon was suing Britton Excavating and Construction Services for more than $120,000, saying he paid $79,441 for renovations to make his Ohio home accessible for his medical needs but that only a $7,622 fence was completed before the contractor ended the job.

In December, company owner Stephen Britton filed a civil stalking protection order, saying he found an AirTag and became worried for his safety and his workers’ safety; the judge denied the order. Britton told the court he and his crew were afraid to work at Brendon’s house, citing axes and weapons and saying his privacy had been infringed, and an exhibit said Brendon’s assistant at one point admitted placing a tracking device on the owner’s tool bag before later denying it.

Brendon rejected the accusations, saying, “I don’t threaten people,” and his attorney described him as “a very calm, relaxed, individual with lots of physical problems” who was not threatening.
