Riccardo Calafiori says life in London is good, though playing every three days leaves little time to enjoy the city. He still misses the Italian sunshine and would like to see friends and family more often, but appreciates that people here are less inclined to observe, judge and criticise.

Off the pitch he has taken to exploring fashion, visiting vintage markets to find unknown brands and unique pieces as a way to switch off. He has long dreamed of playing in the Premier League and, after Bologna, could have moved to a big Italian club (Juventus, ed.).

Calafiori recalled that his transfer value rose after the Euros and that WSA, the agency run by his agent Alessandro Lucci, explained Arsenal really wanted him. He knew he was joining the toughest league and accepted he could always take a step back, adding that Arsenal is an iconic team.
