Casey Wasserman, the Los Angeles entertainment executive who chairs the 2028 Olympic organizing committee, has begun the process of selling the talent agency he founded more than two decades ago. The move followed the publication of emails between Mr. Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell that surfaced in the latest tranche of Epstein-related documents.

In a memo to the agency’s roughly 4,000 employees, Mr. Wasserman apologized and said he would step back from his business interests to concentrate on preparations for the Summer Games. He also said Mike Watts, the company’s president, would run day-to-day operations during the sale, which he wrote was already underway.

The files include flirtatious messages from 2003 sent when Mr. Wasserman was in his late 20s and married with a young family. In the exchanges he wrote, “I think of you all the time,” and asked, “So what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?” A month later he asked, “Can we book that massage now?” Ms.
