CBS Saturday Morning hosts fêted after Bari Weiss takeover

Michelle Miller, Dana Jacobson and Brian Applegate were fêted for their contributions to journalism at a National Urban League reception in Harlem. Miller and Jacobson anchored CBS Saturday Morning, with Applegate serving as executive producer. The event was hosted by League CEO Marc H.

Morial, who is Miller’s husband. The celebration followed their farewell from CBS in November amid Bari Weiss’ takeover of the network; Adriana Diaz and Kelly O’Grady replaced them as hosts in January. An attendee said the network’s "new leadership wasn’t discussed," but that "their departures drew quiet concern within media circles." Colleagues in attendance included Jericka Duncan, Vlad Duthiers and Anthony Mason, along with former MSNBC News president Rashida Jones and Candi Carter.
