ZDNET's coverage of CES 2026 highlighted a broad range of new audio products, including headphones that fold into a Bluetooth speaker, open-ear earbuds with noise reduction, gaming headsets with brain-computer interfaces, and soundbars using the latest Dolby technologies. Highlights include Klipsch's HP-1 closed-back wireless ANC headphones with coaxial drivers, wood finishes and USB-C audio, which ZDNET said were expected to arrive this summer and impressed the reviewer with ANC performance during a test at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Samsung's Music Studio 7 is a premium 3.1.1-channel speaker with an internal subwoofer and hi-res support up to 24-bit/96kHz; ZDNET noted a pair can act as rear speakers for compatible Samsung TVs, but pricing and availability are not yet available. The show also featured the xMEMS Sycamore-N audio chip for smartglasses, which replaces dynamic drivers to enable thinner frames and — in a prototype demo — delivered a more spatial, airy sound; ZDNET said the chip is expected to appear in products within the next year.

Shokz debuted OpenFit Pro open-ear earbuds with noise reduction at $250, though ZDNET described them as heavier and pricier than other options. LG's modular Sound Suite (H7 soundbar, M5 and M7 surrounds, W7 subwoofer) introduced Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, which ZDNET said calibrates for room irregularities.
