Chelsea drawn to host Manchester United in Women's FA Cup fifth round
Chelsea, the holders, will host Manchester United in the Women’s FA Cup fifth round, a repeat of last season’s final when Chelsea beat United 3-0 at Wembley.
The draw produced four all-WSL ties among the 16 teams remaining. Liverpool will host Everton in a Merseyside derby, Brighton travel to West Ham, and London City Lionesses will host Tottenham; other fixtures include Manchester City v Sheffield United, Oxford United v Charlton, Birmingham City v Chatham Town, and Arsenal v Bristol City. Fourth-tier Chatham Town, the lowest-ranked side left, were drawn away to second-tier Birmingham City; Chatham reached this stage for the first time after beating York City 3-0 in the fourth round, and their manager Keith Boanas previously managed Charlton to Cup glory in 2005. The second lowest-ranked side remaining are third-tier Oxford United, who face WSL2 leaders Charlton.
The ties are scheduled for the weekend of 22 February. Manchester United have reached the final three years in a row and knocked out Chelsea in the 2024 semi-finals on their way to lifting the Cup for the first time, but Chelsea gained revenge in last season’s Wembley final as part of a domestic treble.
