Chilling ransom note as Nancy Guthrie search enters 10th day
A line from an alleged ransom note has been revealed as the search for Nancy Guthrie entered its 10th day. TMZ founder Harvey Levin read one sentence on CNN: "It is in the best interest of everyone to have this completed as soon as possible." Local outlets in Tucson reported receiving an alleged first ransom note earlier this month.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on Jan. 31 after being dropped off at home following dinner with her daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommasso Cioni; she was reported missing the next day after failing to arrive at a friend’s home for a virtual church service. The FBI confirmed a note with two deadlines—Feb.
5 and Feb. 9, both at 5 p.m. local time—and Tucson station KGUN said one message demanded $6 million in bitcoin. After the second deadline passed, the FBI said it was not aware of further communication and had not identified a suspect or person of interest.
