Chris Brown took to his Instagram Stories minutes after Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance and wrote, “I think it’s safe to say… they need me,” followed by a winking face emoji. Bad Bunny performed entirely in Spanish, delivering songs such as “Monaco,” “Yo Perreo Sola,” and “Tití Me Preguntó” while celebrities including Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Alix Earle, Jessica Alba and Karol G danced nearby.

The show paid tribute to Puerto Rican culture with references to food, games and dancing, and featured surprise appearances by Lady Gaga — who sang a rendition of “Die With a Smile” — and Ricky Martin, who performed “Lo Que Pasó a Hawaii.” Some NFL fans reacted negatively to a Spanish-language headliner, and Bad Bunny has previously been critical of the Trump administration and U.S.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Brown has never performed at a Super Bowl.
