Chris Noth says SJP didn’t call him before supporting his accusers
Pagesix reports that actor Chris Noth, 71, said he and Sarah Jessica Parker are no longer friends because she did not call to hear his side before issuing a public statement after multiple sexual assault allegations in 2021.
Noth made the remarks on the podcast "Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson," saying Parker and fellow Sex and the City stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis released a joint statement that read, "We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it." He called the statement "disappointing," said it felt like "brand management," and added, "That was hurtful, and it really affected everything." He also noted he returned for the 2021 sequel series And Just Like That but his character was killed off in the premiere.
Parker did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Noth has denied the assault allegations multiple times; in 2023 he again denied them while acknowledging he had cheated on his wife, Tara Wilson, and saying those encounters were consensual.
