NBC released a trailer for The Voice Season 29: Battle of Champions, which brings back red chair winners Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend as Coaches. The trailer frames the season as a competition to determine the most elite Coach as they form teams and compete for the title.

The preview teases format changes and twists, including a new Super Steal described as an honor given to the Coach with the most 3-Chair Turns after the Blinds and an automatic Super Steal for the Battles that trumps another Coach's attempt to steal an Artist. The season will also stage an In-Season All-Star Competition during the Knockouts, plus other Super Battles, alongside the familiar Coach banter.

The trailer previews the return of several former Artists, including Jordan Smith, Maelyn Jarmon, Javier Colon, Jake Hoot, Girl Named Tom and Renzo, and shows CeeLo Green appearing as a Judge for the In-Season All-Star Competition.
