At 95, Clint Eastwood remains a prominent figure in Hollywood, celebrated as an actor, director and producer. His latest directing effort, Juror #2, was billed as the final film of his career.

Next month viewers can watch one of his earlier, true-crime thrillers without a subscription: Escape from Alcatraz joins Tubi on March 1. The Don Siegel–directed picture is based on J. Campbell Bruce's 1963 non-fiction book and dramatizes one of the most infamous prison escapes in U.S. history.

The story follows Eastwood's Frank Lee Morris as he and fellow inmates attempt to break out of the island penitentiary. First released in 1979, the film also features Danny Glover in his breakthrough role, alongside Patrick McGoohan, Jack Thibeau, Larry Hankin and Fred Ward.

Escape from Alcatraz premiered June 22, 1979, runs 112 minutes, and lists J. Campbell Bruce and Richard Tuggle among its writers.
