CNET Group names 22 Best of CES 2026 winners; ZDNET highlights top picks
CNET Group, selected in partnership with the Consumer Technology Association, has announced its Best of CES 2026 winners after in-person evaluations at CES in Las Vegas, where ZDNET reporters went hands-on with hundreds of products. The awards were based on live demos and expert evaluation, and eligibility required that a product or service be a CES exhibitor and meet at least one key criterion such as introducing a new concept, solving a consumer problem, or raising the bar for performance or quality.
The full slate was curated by more than 40 journalists across CNET, PCMag, Mashable, Lifehacker and ZDNET, covering 22 categories plus one overall Best of CES winner — nearly doubling the number of awards from last year. ZDNET contributed expertise across several categories. ZDNET's Kerry Wan said the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold (Mobile and Best Overall) feels like the form factor foldables have been building toward, with a wider 10-inch display.
ZDNET's Sabrina Ortiz described Lenovo and Motorola's Qira as an ambient, context-aware AI working across devices. ZDNET's Kyle Kucharski noted the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 Aura Edition improves repairability with a redesigned motherboard.
