Cole Palmer rejects Chelsea exit rumours after Wolves hat-trick
Cole Palmer has dismissed suggestions he is unhappy at Chelsea or wants a move back to Manchester, labelling exit rumours 'rubbish' after his hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Wolves. He said he is not listening to the noise and that he is happy in west London. Palmer was the star as Chelsea beat bottom-of-the-table Wolves 3-1 at Molineux.
He opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Joao Pedro was sent tumbling in the box, converted a second spot kick following a push in the back, and completed a first-half hat-trick by rifling home from around eight yards after a Marc Cucurella cutback, then celebrated by putting his hands over his ears.
Speculation had suggested Palmer, a Manchester United fan who came through the Manchester City academy, was homesick and might move back north, even being linked as a possible replacement for Bruno Fernandes. He aimed to quash that talk on Match of the Day, saying: "Everyone loves to chat rubbish, don't they?
