Colleen Hoover film 'Reminders of Him' opens at No. 1 with $8M

Friday’s box office offered a reminder that audiences still turn out for romance. The Colleen Hoover adaptation "Reminders of Him" took the No. 1 spot, raking in $8 million on its opening night, Box Office Mojo shows. The film follows Maika Monroe as Kenna, a mother trying to rebuild her life after being released from prison.

The cast also includes Bradley Whitford, Lauren Graham, Tyriq Withers, Jennifer Robertson and Rudy Pankow. It’s Hoover’s third big-screen adaptation, after 2024’s "It Ends With Us" and 2025’s "Regretting You," and Hoover attended the Los Angeles premiere on Monday.

Pixar’s "Hoppers" finished second with $7.1 million.
