Colleen Reed says parting from Matt Bolton felt like the right decision
People reports Colleen Reed is opening up for the first time about her split from husband Matt Bolton on the Jan. 21 episode of the What’s the Reality? podcast.
Reed said she is in a "healthy mindset" amid a "rollercoaster of a journey" and that she and Bolton have been apart since November 2024. "I knew that I was making the right decision and I knew that he was making the right decision," she said, though their goodbye was "the hardest thing ever." She described recurring differences over priorities and values, noting "quality time" is her love language and that she wanted to be "courted," and added that they "stayed at the lows for a long time" despite trying to make things work.
Reed said she wants four children and would "freeze my eggs" rather than have kids unless she is "absolutely in love," and said the couple "agreed upon" waiting to announce their breakup until they were no longer living together. She said she's "looking around at some past connections" but hasn't downloaded dating apps and wants to "have fun right now." They met on the show, which premiered in 2022, moved in together in June 2023 and marked their three-year anniversary in July 2024; they announced their breakup on May 23.
