Country singer Colter Wall cancels tour, says he's 'mentally unwell'
Country singer Colter Wall, 30, announced he is canceling the rest of his 2026 tour and taking an indefinite hiatus from live performing to focus on his mental health. “The truth is that I am mentally unwell,” he wrote, saying he had pushed himself to continue touring and that his mental health had further declined.
Wall said the decision followed discussions with his team, thanked fans for their understanding and support, and noted that tickets will be refunded automatically from the original point of purchase. He turned off comments on the Instagram post. A few days before the announcement he abruptly canceled a Sunday night show in Evansville, Ind., minutes before he was due on stage.
In February 2025 he rescheduled nine tour dates to the fall, saying time off the road for reasons of mental and physical health was greatly needed, and he previously canceled dates in February and March 2025. Wall began his career in 2015 with the seven-song EP Imaginary Appalachian and released his self-titled debut album in 2017.
