The Hollywood Reporter says Szymon Kudrański’s limited comic series No Man’s Land has been picked up for a film adaptation. The series began in 2025 and is set during the Cold War era. In 1963, the frozen body of a woman is discovered on the Ice Curtain — an ice bridge that allows passage from the USA to Russia.

The traveller who failed to complete the crossing draws the attention of both sides, prompting an FBI agent and a young KGB operative to team up to find out what happened. Kudrański will produce the film alongside Jason Berman’s A/Vantage Pictures (Highest 2 Lowest) and Jon Levin’s Sustainable Imagination.

The story has been compared to Seven and Zodiac, with Seven even serving as inspiration for one of the comic’s variant covers created by Kudrański. Kudrański told CBR that the idea came when a documentary about the Diomede Islands played on television while he was working on Spawn in 2011.
