Connor Storrie brought the clown character he created — a ripped yet mangled “Stripper” — to his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on February 28. In his monologue he joked, "I've only technically been a professional actor for like six months now," and added, "But on the other hand, I've been preparing for this my entire life." His accent-showcasing SNL promo had drawn attention ahead of the show.

Storrie trained at L.A.'s Groundlings theater and performed in the city's indie clown scene. Groundlings has produced SNL alums including Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph. In a December 2025 Cultured profile he said clown work taught him to be, as the piece put it, "unflinching in the face of exposure, both emotional and physical," and that the birthday-stripper character first appeared there: "I come in trying to be all sexy, but all of my limbs are broken," he told Culture.
