Microsoft’s official Copilot Discord server has been locked down and its message history reportedly wiped after users flooded the community with messages using the term “Microslop.” The surge followed news that the word had been added to the server’s list of “inappropriate” phrases.

Windows Latest spotted that “Microslop” was banned on the Copilot Discord around March 1, and posts on X about that prompted more variations. Users found they could bypass filters with spellings like “microsl0p,” and PC Gamer’s Andy Edser saw members debating “Sloppysoft” as another workaround.

Attempts to join the server now show the message “Invites are currently paused for this server.” The initial wave may have been sparked by a February 28 post from VTuber Qyu criticizing a “FUCKING DUMABSS BRAINDEAD SUIT at Microslop” over the design of the Windows Taskbar.
