About 120 people took part in a five-day CoppaFeel! charity trek across the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye, covering roughly 100km of rugged trails to raise money for the young people’s breast cancer awareness charity. The week of walking, across sea cliffs, mountains, bogs and rivers, ended with the organisers reading out a fundraising total of over £500,000.

Participants were split into four groups of 30 and, the piece notes, “some 117 of the participants are female, with a further six female celebrities spurring us on.” The event was organised by CoppaFeel! in partnership with Charity Challenge, which provided transport, routes, accommodation and mountain leaders; CoppaFeel!

supplied kit lists, a training plan, webinars and online meetups. Charity Challenge reported a post-Covid surge in demand for mass participation trekking events, and CoppaFeel! has previously raised £200,000 from trekking in 2017 and, in 2025, was aiming to reach £2m. The report describes high morale despite tough weather and inexperienced walkers: groups sang and danced on the hills, and celebrity patron Giovanna Fletcher addressed a crowded marquee, urging participants to remember their personal motivations.

Many walkers have personal experience of breast cancer—some years past, others in treatment—and the trek prompted emotional conversations, visible recovery and new bonds among strangers-turned-supporters.
