Gamesradar reports Metacritic's top-rated games list, currently led by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's user score, is being challenged by the 2008 Nintendo DS title Cory in the House.

The outlet notes Metacritic's user-score list typically includes Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill 2, The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion and two versions of Metal Gear Solid 3, but was shaken last year when Clair Obscur reached the top. Cory in the House is based on the Disney TV series, which featured appearances from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Lori Alan and George Takei; the game is described on Wikipedia as an "adventure stealth video game" that follows Cory in the White House as he tries to rescue presidential bobbleheads from "The Evil Toymaker."

The article also says Clair Obscur has overtaken The Last of Us 2 for the second-most Game of the Year nods ever, but that the J'RPG "has a ways to go" before beating Elden Ring's record.
