Crimson Desert PS5 showcase wins fans but some remain cautious
Crimson Desert has remained largely unseen until a recent PlayStation Japan video showed the RPG running on PS5. Two weeks earlier Pearl Abyss PR and marketing director Will Powers tried to soothe concerns, saying the studio is "not hiding anything" and asking fans to "let us cook." The game is due for a March 19 release.
The 20-minute clip covers combat, exploration and platforming puzzles on PS5, but impressions are mixed. Viewers noted the footage runs at 30 frames per second and 1080p, with one comment calling it "1080p on YouTube is like adding a Vaseline filter to your video." Others warned, "Yeah, it's so hard to actually see quality at this resolution.
