Crimson Desert won't boot on Intel Arc GPUs, players urged to seek refunds

Crimson Desert will not boot on Intel Arc graphics cards, the game's FAQ states, and players are being encouraged to refer to the refund policy of the platform where they bought the game. Some users reported a pop-up when trying to launch the title with an Intel Arc GPU.

Steam allows refunds for games played under two hours, and the Epic Games Store lists the title as self-refundable within two weeks and with less than two hours of play time. Those who buy the game at launch but wait to play it may struggle to secure a refund later.

Pearl Abyss recommending refunds suggests it does not plan to optimise Crimson Desert for Intel Arc hardware, leaving affected owners little recourse. The studio has not explained the decision, though Steam's Hardware Survey shows Intel Arc Graphics held about a 0.16% market share.
