Crunchyroll has announced a price increase for all U.S. streaming tiers, with Fan rising to $9 (from $8), Mega Fan to $14 (from $12), and Ultimate Fan to $18 (from $16). The company said subscribers will pay an extra $12 to $24 per year, with the change announced on February 2 and taking effect March 4.

Crunchyroll said the increases accompany features it has added or is working on, including teen profiles, the ability to skip intros and credits, and support for multiple profiles.

The company noted this is the first increase to the Fan tier since 2019; a 2024 price change did not affect that cheapest option.

The article placed the move in a wider context of rising costs, noting other services such as Ubisoft’s Just Dance streaming, Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus have also raised prices, and cited January data showing online prices at a 12-year high. It also mentioned factors such as AI hyperscalers, executives and tariffs as possible contributors.
