Crypto.com CEO launches ai.com to create personal AI agents
Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek has launched ai.com, a site that lets users create personal AI agents to perform everyday tasks. The ai.com commercial aired during Super Bowl 60 on NBC to promote the platform’s beta; users can register ai.com username handles and then wait in a queue to have their private, personalized agents spun up.
Marszalek said the agents can manage emails, schedule meetings, cancel subscriptions, complete shopping tasks and plan trips. He described his mission as accelerating artificial general intelligence "by building a decentralized network of autonomous, self-improving AI agents that perform real-world tasks for the good of humanity." Marszalek also said he bought the AI-themed domain in April — said to be the largest publicly disclosed domain sale in history — and has since built a team to bring the product to market.
The site drew "insane traffic" in its opening hours, briefly crashing before coming back online, Marszalek said.
