Dandadan is a Future Sci-Fi Classic

Since its 2024 debut, Dandadan has quickly been hailed as a future classic. Based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga, the series blends paranormal elements with absurd sci‑fi in a way that feels distinctly original.

The story follows two teenagers, Momo and Okarun: one believes in UFOs, the other in ghosts. While trying to prove each other wrong they discover that both exist, and are sent on a wild chase after Okarun’s "Golden Balls," stolen by the ancient spirit Turbo Granny.

The premise is bizarre, often hilarious, and thoroughly one of a kind. Alongside its oddball humor and action, Dandadan delivers surprising emotional weight. When a character called Acrobatic Silky appears and the camera cuts to a flashback, the show can turn unexpectedly moving.
